「四条河原町商業複合施設　-周辺環境を取り込んだ市街地再開発-」

敷地は京都の中でも繁華街の中心として多くの人で賑わう四条河原町交差点の北東角地に位置する。ここに市街地再開発事業として複合商業施設を設計する。京都という歴史的観光都市の顔として、京都の景観や空間を意識しつつ、面によって極めて異なる都市的コンセプトを持つ敷地に建つ商業施設のあり方を考えた。敷地は四条河原町交差点の北東の角に位置する。それぞれの面が、性格の異なる通りに面している。

3つのL字型のボリュームによって全体を構成する。それぞれのボリュームはそれぞれの通りによって異なる性格を持ち、それらが敷地の中で出会う。ファサードを垂直方向と水平方向の２つにわけて考える。垂直方向の要素はそれぞれの個性を出すための要素となり、柱やルーバーがそれにあたる。一方で水平方向の要素としては庇を使い、異なる性格を持つ３つのボリュームを統合する役割を持つ。

The site is located in the northeast corner of the Shijo Kawaramachi intersection, which is crowded with many people as the center of the downtown area in Kyoto. A commercial complex will be designed here as an urban redevelopment project. As the face of Kyoto, a historical tourist city, I thought about the ideal way of commercial facilities built on a site with an extremely different urban concept depending on the aspect, while being aware of the scenery and space of Kyoto. The site is located on the northeast corner of the Shijo Kawaramachi intersection. Each side faces a street with a different personality. The whole is composed of three L-shaped volumes. Each volume has a different personality in each street, and they meet on the premises. Consider the façade in two directions, vertical and horizontal. The elements in the vertical direction are the elements that give each individuality, and the pillars and louvers correspond to them. On the other hand, the eaves are used as the horizontal element, and it has the role of integrating three mother volumes with different personalities.
